Our mission is to publish and distribute high quality music for the next generation of musicians, while providing industry leading support for our composers

We’re highly focused on producing quality music for music educators everywhere. With so much repertoire to choose from, we hope to be a consistent resource for music that enriches the lives of both educators and their students.

Zicato Music is the creation of renowned composer and former educator Chris Pilsner. Self-published for over a decade, Chris understood the challenge of making a living as a composer in such a difficult market. So he decided to help other composers by envisioning a new type of music press.

Building on the foundations of creating music focused on a high level of quality, Chris started Zicato Music with the goal of providing an avenue for composers to have their music presented in the highest professional manner, retain the copyright of their creations, and make a significantly larger amount on their sold music than they could with a traditional publishing deal.
